Francis Bacon to Paula Rego: Great Artists

Abbot Hall’s summer exhibition, Francis Bacon to Paula Rego, celebrates and explores the work of some of the most significant British painters from the last 50 years including Michael Andrews, Euan Uglow, Francis Bacon, Paula Rego, Lucian Freud, David Hockney and Christopher Le Brun. As well as celebrating the last 50 years, the exhibition looks forward to the next 50 and features a gallery of contemporary artists who are working today including Carol Rhodes, Simon Carter and Turner Prize nominees Gillian Carnegie (2005) and George Shaw (2011).
