1976 Fay Godwin (1931 − 2005)The work comes from The Drovers’ Roads of Wales, first published in 1977 by Wildwood House Ltd, with text by Shirley Toulson. The drovers’ roads are the ancient tracks criss crossing Wales that were trodden by tens of thousands of cattle, sheep and even geese being driven to the markets in London from the Middle Ages to the coming of the railways around 1900. The work was first published by Wildwood House Ltd in The Drovers’ Roads of Wales, with text by Shirley Toulson.
