Kossoff finds his subjects close at hand, among a small circle of family and friends and in his birthplace, London. From 1972 until the middle of the decade Kossoff occupied a studio in Dalston Lane in North London, close to the school he had attended as a child. This is a view of the railway station and adjacent market.
