1941 Bill Brandt (1904 − 1983)

Robert Graves (1895-1985) was born in London. His output in prose and verse was prodigious and included works for adults and children alike. His lively rollicking novels on the Emperor Claudius (1934) found a ready audience and were later televised by the BBC.
