THE GAY GRISETTE BY GEORGE DANCE

The Gay Grisetteis a musical comedy by George Dance with music by Carl Kiefert, first staged in 1898. George Dance became one of the most successful theatrical managers in the UK at the start of the 20th century, donating a considerable sum of money for the reconstruction of the Old Vic.
