(LEFT) PUBLIC TORSO ON LORRY IN MANHATTAN STREET FOR 'BONDS CLOTHES FOR MEN' (RIGHT) VARGA-BILLBOARD-GIRL (WINTER GARDEN - ZANZIBAR)

1971 Sir Eduardo Paolozzi (1924 − 2005)

Left: The Greeks did better, though smaller, these fifty foot tall, three ton nudes, decently separated by one hundred and thirty foot waterfall, decorate the roof of bond’s clothing store on times square. Whether these figures are to represent the life force, sex can be beautiful or simply a pair of unfortunates desperately in need f some Bond clothing, has not, as yet, been definitely determined. These pictures were taken while the display was being assembled. Photos: Peter S Kaufmann.

Right: A 125 foot Varga displays her charms from a billboard in Times Square.
