Robert Bates (1943 − )

Robert Bates was born in Wolverhampton in the Midlands. He studied at Birmingham College of Art and later at the Royal College of Art in London. He taught printmaking at Medway Art College in Kent, moving later to Shropshire. His work is small in scale, of minutely observed and intricately exceuted landscapes.
