Vivien Blackett (1955 − )

Vivien Blackett, is an artist and curator based in London. She studied Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College and has been the artist in residence at the National Gallery London and Camden Arts Centre.

In 2003 Blackett had a solo show at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has worked and researched extensively at the Wellcome Library for the History and Understanding of Medicine. The works presented in this exhibition explore the links between science and metaphysics; she combines and juxtaposes images borrowed from books on such diverse subjects as chemistry, cooking and witchcraft with images of her own invention.,/p>

Examples of her work are held by the British Council and other public collections.
