Nick Munro (1963 − )

Nick Munro studied Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham University, before enrolling for postgraduate studies in Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art in London. He established Nick Munro Design in 1987. Inspiration for Nick Munro's designs often comes from art forms and methods of craftsmanship which have been overlooked in the age of mass manufacture. Munro's particular talent has been to blend these skills with modern design principles to create a timeless mixture of tradition and modernity. For this reason, the British ceramic manufacturer Wedgwood commissioned Munro to revamp its classic blue and white Jasperware range. This cat bowl (and accompanying dog bowl) form part of this new range.
