Philip Castle studied at the Royal College of Art. His work appeared in Vogue and in the Daily Express, where he was noticed by the filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick went onto commission Castle to produce designs for both the film A Clockwork Orange and for the advertising campaign for the film. He has since designed album covers of Wings, Pulp and The Cars, and the cover for the computer game Elite.
