Clarice Cliff (1899 − 1972)
Clarice Cliff was born in Tunstall, Staffordshire; in 1927 she attended the Royal College of Art in London and on her return to Staffordshire she set up her own design studio at A J Wilkinson's Newport showrooms. She retired in 1965 when the company was taken over by W R Midwinter. Her work featured bright colours, relief decoration and geometric shapes.
